THIS EATING IS DIFFERENT THAN THE PLANNED MEALS THAT YOU NEED DAILY FOR SUSTENANCE. KEEP EATING THE THREE MEALS AND ALLOW THE EMOTIONAL EATING TO BECOME OBVIOUS AND STAND APART FROM REGULAR EATING. YOU ONLY WANT TO CHANGE THE EMOTIONAL EATING INITIALLY, THEN AFTER YOU CAN IDENTIFY AND CHANGE THE EMOTIONAL EATING, YOU CAN MAKE A DIET PLAN TO CHANGE OTHER ASPECTS ABOUT FOOD AND YOUR EATING. FOOD AND MOOD

Individuals with weight/eating issues are, in general, externally motivated. This means that the external world and the events and people in it are more valued than internal perceptions and judgments. Relying on the external world for cues regarding performance, self-worth, cues on when to eat and how much leaves one very vulnerable to people and events. For example, if you are in a meeting that becomes stressful and has a negatively charged atmosphere, you will be more vulnerable to eating the donuts that you were previously able to resist in a more congenial atmosphere. CRAVINGS:

What else causes cravings? Habits can cause cravings. If you are used to eating certain kinds of foods, then your body is likely to call for its daily or hourly dose in the form of a craving. Removing habitually craved food takes a weaning process or you can just remove it and go cold turkey. The latter is likely to leave you feeling deprived. The Internal Judge

ON the down side of mental machinations, this aspect is the punitive nature, the critical parent, the rigid rule keeper and taskmaster. At it’s extreme, it is the perfectionist and black and white thinking. There is no mercy from this aspect of the personality. It allows rules to control the life force. It usually joins in with the opinions of the popular group that is prevailing at the time and may take this viewpoint to the extreme. Continue reading
